I am not surprised. Sweden is (my Swedish contacts tell me) largely secularised. This is mostly due to the liberalism of the state -sponsered Lutheran church.
It's not that IKEA is better than the church, it's that the Swedes trust IKEA more than the church. That says a lot about the church in Sweden, moreso than what it says about IKEA.

It is great company that makes affordable products versus a state church that is uber-liberal and does nothing but takes your tithe to support socialistic programs.
