Douglas Wilson Weighs in on the Birth Control Debate

The issue of whether or not Christians should use birth control is quite a topic! Without the details, it has been discussed from various angles in my home. I cannot say that I have the final word on the issue, nor do I think that it is a closed debate. But it is worth reading on from all angles. Here Douglas Wilson gives his understanding of the debate. I must say, it is quite balanced (believe it or not).

Maybe you should clarify, and the picture does not help, that the debate is on more natural forms of birth control, i.e., natural family planning (NFP), condoms, vasectomy, etc, and not meaning a debate with using oral contraceptives, patches, IUDs, etc. These can be abortive and should never be used by Christians, IMO.

Umm, I should clarify that I do not think there is anything natural about a vasectomy. ;0)

wow... Wilson doing a very well balanced piece on Birth Control... just reminds me i have not seen everything yet. In his book Fidelity he seemingly came across as one sided.. might of been my interpretation or he has changed his mind some.

I don't see the problem with married couples, who already have children, using condoms. What do you think?
