I am hoping to start a monthly book study at my house on Sunday nights following evening worship. I would like to go through the Puritan Paperbacks, beginning with
Christian Love by Hugh Binning. I will be submitting a proposal to session, and am wondering if this is something that people would be interested in. It will only be once a month and we will cover one or two chapters per month. I would be happy to provide the book to anyone who cannot afford it.
Is this something that people would be interested in? All are welcome as long as there is a commitment to reading the material and interacting with it. Children are also welcome, since the church is a covenant community, not just a community of adult believers.

Binning?
Count me in. We'll be there.
Shawn, I really wish that you could be. We miss your fellowship and insight into God's word.
there is a PCA church near here that does that every Lord's day for college students... they go in droves. And the church gives free books - a number of our students go and it is a great blessing to them. They started with the Pilgrim's Progress - i cannot imagine expositing on the Puritans works well, but this guy does. He is an experiential preacher as well.
I'm in, yo, provided y'all feed us. :)
Love to go, but can't make it across the Atlantic.
I would come. :-) Sounds good. (
(even if I went home, I'd be back in time for it :-D )
I don't know if it would be something that I could attend (or if you'd ever want me back if I came once;-)). What time were you thinking of, and what general area of town is your residence?
Oh, you should come, Lloyd. Make this thing inter-denominational. Though the last non-ARPers to attend one of these things wound up joining...
