Principles of Christian Blogging

Our church beadle wrote a series of blogs entitled Principles of Christian Blogging. They are well worth reading and distributing. A Google document is available here.

This is a well written treatment on how we ought to conduct ourselves on-line. But as it pertains to the topic recently on this blog of a satire of "micropresbyterianism", I am not comfortable. As I commented on that topic, it is not clear to me, Nate, what theory of church affiliation and merger you are proposing. Are you suggesting there should be affiliation and merger even if it comes at the expense of an erroneous confession and without full subscription to any reformed confession? Is a denomination flawed merely on the grounds of being relatively small in number?

A link from PT - now I've made the big time! Thanks for the props, Nate! (And Parnell!)

Oh, and I like the verses above the comment box. Excellent idea, it's good to have that reminder in place.

Nate and Mark, another way I might phrase my questions to you is this: Unity is a noble goal, but how should unity Biblically be achieved? Should it be achieved by rallying around an erroneous confession, just for the sake of having visible unity? Or should it be achieved by rallying around a true confession like the original Westminster Stds, and joining a church which holds to it? But if we do settle on the first method, then why is the Roman Catholic Church not the sensible choice?
