Pat Robertson's latest
prophecy had better be correct. I think that Moses would not like this kind of thing- neither would Jesus.
Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
Sedimentary rock or do you prefer Igneous for tossing?

Remember our conversation about Jeremiah? Some of the prophets in biblical times presented "loosely" as well. Who really knows what God is up to? When I hear predictions like that I immediately pray. I think God really needs to hear from us all and longs for a connection. I am also praying for the bird flu epidemic not to touch our nation. I don't see God taking out Robertson however for inaccurate reporting. He could be right on the mark, or a year late, ( the hurricanes) or maybe he's getting like Ronald Regan in his later years, demented. Only God knows and time will tell.I think it's always risky to give a time frame when receiving a message from God. God's time frame is vastly different from ours. Our pastor has shared numerous messages from God that came into being but not on the time frame originally noted.
Many years ago I looked up to and respected Pat Robertson. As the years have passed, I have grown less and less fond of him. His recent remarks about taking out the Venezuelan president, along with several other strange public comments, have reduced my respect.
Anyone who presumes to speak for God, including we bloggers, must tread carefully. Time will tell whether Robertson's "prediction" is of God or not.
Despite his most recent history, Robertson has often been on target with such things. I am inclined to wait and see what plays out before rushing to judgment.
pure bedrock, my man. just chip it out the canyon.
Quite frankly, if a tsunami did hit the US this year, I'd think Robertson would simply have stopped-clock syndrome - still right twice a day, even if it's accidental. I can see saying that a tsunami that's already hit was God's judgment, but to predict one like this is just plain reckless.
Well, looking at it, "Rev." Robertson has a point. I'm sure we can expect storms to hit the eastern US this year. In fact, I'll bet money on it. And, "there well may be something as bad as a tsunami in the Pacific Northwest"? Well, maybe not a tsunami but maybe a forest fire? Or perhaps he may just say "well, I did say MAYBE.." I do prefer your idea of just gathering up some rocks and having a REALLY fun New Year's party.
